Welcome to Last Girl Standing, the TAFL-approved fanlisting for the enigmatic and highly complex magical girl of water from the mobile game Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Gaiden and the animated series based upon it, the icily beautiful Nanami Yachiyo. Often merely dismissed as a mere expy of Akemi Homura, Yachiyo's similarities to her forebear and fellow mahou shoujo are only skin deep -- she is a complicated, multi-layered character who has a story all of her own, and I for one adore her.
